Chengdu & Jiuzhaigou Tour Package
Arrive at Chengdu Tianfu Airport, our driver will pick you up to the hotel. It is around 1 hour to reach hotel.
After check-in, you can enjoy a night of free time and explore the night in Chengdu. The most famous landmark is Chunxi Road, which is only 350 meter away from hotel. You can walk there with your family & friends and enjoy your first night in Chengdu.
After enjoying the breakfast in hotel, driver and travel guide will wait at hotel lobby. Then be driven about 2 hours to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site- Leshan Giant Buddha which is the largest and tallest stone-carved statue of Buddha in the world. Standing at the confluence of two rivers, the extraordinary, monumental 1200-year-old Buddha image at Le Shan is carved directly into the rock face. The monument stands 71m (233ft) tall and 28m (92ft) wide making it the largest ancient Buddha in the world. His shoulders span 28m, and each of his big toes is 8.5m long. His ears are 7m. He is indeed grand. There is a local saying: "The mountain is a Buddha and the Buddha is a mountain" You will walk down and up and watch the Buddha from a very close distance. It allows you to see each part of Leshan Giant Buddha closely and presents you with a surprising experience with many ancient Buddhist temples, sculptures, caves and religious relics on the way up to mountain top near the head of the Buddha.
In the late afternoon, you will visit the Zhanggongqiao Haochi Food Street. You can try the local street food, such as Bobo Chicken(钵钵鸡) , Leshan BBQ, Qiaojiao Beef (跷脚牛肉). Then your will be driven to hotel.
You will spend an entire day exploring Mount Emei, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its cultural and natural significance. As one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains, Mount Emei is home to numerous temples and monasteries that reflect its rich spiritual heritage. In addition to its cultural importance, the mountain is situated at the eastern edge of the Himalayan highlands, offering a diverse array of flora and fauna, as well as breathtaking natural landscapes.
You will take a tour bus and walk/hike 1.5KM. Then you will take a cable car to reach the top of Mount Emei-- sightseeing in Golden Summit (金顶). It will help you save energy and focus on the highlights of Mount Emei. You can stroll around the Golden Summit to explore Buddhist architecture and tradition, and enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Emei and surrounding. If weather permits, you will have luck to enjoy its magnificent wonder of Cloud Sea. After the tour in Mount Emei, you will go to Dujiangyan.
You will have half day tour in Dujiangyan. Dujiangyan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its cultural and natural significance, as well as its designation as a national scenic area and AAAAA-level tourist attraction. Established around 256 BC by Li Bing, the Dujiangyan irrigation project is the oldest and only remaining large-scale irrigation system still in operation today, employing a distinctive dam-free water diversion method. For over two millennia, it has played a crucial role in flood control and irrigation, transforming the Chengdu Plain into the fertile region known as the "Land of Abundance." Key attractions in the area include the Lidu, Fish Mouth, Anlan Suspension Bridge, and the Songmao Ancient Road.
After lunch, you will have a stop at Diexihaizi (叠溪海子) before reaching Jiuzhaigou. The Diexihaizi is not only a natural landscape but also holds significant scientific value, as it preserves the world's only complete ruins of an ancient city destroyed by an earthquake, making it an important site for earthquake research in the international seismology community. The area surrounding Diexi Sea features unique scenery and is a distinctive highlight along the tourism routes of the world natural heritage sites Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong.
Full day tour in Jiuzhaigou Jiuzhaigou, a UNESCO-listed nature reserve and national park, sits at the northern edge of Sichuan Province and the southern end of the Minshan mountain range. This protected valley, known for its stunning kaleidoscope of lakes, waterfalls, mountainsides, and lush forests, has been rocked by earthquakes in recent years. As such, much of the park was closed to tourists until recently, as it was deemed unsafe and in dire need of restoration. Today, select parts of the park have reopened, allowing visitors to once more experience some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the world.
After the breakfast, you will be on the way to Huanglong. Along the way, you will pass through Gonggangling Pass, the source of Minjing River. Huanglong National Park is an enchanting valley with blue, green, orange, yellow and white colored limestone pond terraces. Huanglong, meaning "Yellow Dragon", is named after its special geographical features. From a distance, the numerous limestone formations of Huanglong look like a huge golden dragon arching across the valley, winding its way between snow-capped peaks.
After the breakfast, you will visit Shuangqiaogou (Siguniangshan 四姑娘山双桥沟).
Shuangqiaogou is the most developed valley in the Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area, offering sightseeing bus services that allow visitors to tour various attractions. The sightseeing bus departs from the main entrance and goes directly to the redwood forest, after which visitors can explore other stops in reverse order, such as Budala Peak and Siguniang Lake. Additionally, Shuangqiaogou also offers activities like rafting, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of nature more intimately. After the tour in Shuangqiaogou, you will be driven back to Chengdu.
Today you will need to wake up a little bit early as you will be visit the t Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (Chengdu Panda Base), located only about 17 kilometers away from the city center. This is the closest panda base around Chengdu for you fulfill your panda dream. Chengdu Panda Base is the base with the largest population of captive giant pandas in the world, accommodating over 100 pandas of different ages. You can watch pandas playing, eating, climbing, sleeping, and in autumn, even see the pink newborn giant panda cubs in the Sunshine Nursery House and the Moonlight Nursery House. Discover the charming panda stars at this base, such as Hua Hua, the most adored and celebrated panda who has captured the hearts of the nation, and Zhi Ma, the real-life inspiration behind the panda mascot of the World University Games.
Then you will visit Sanxingdui Museum With its dim lighting and giant bronze-age masks characterized by long angular eyes, protruding pupils, and giant ears, visiting the Sanxingdui Museum is like walking onto the set of an Indiana Jones movie. Considered one of the greatest discoveries of the 21st century,
The next stop is Kuan Zhai Alleyways. The Kuan Zhai Alleyways are a dynamic collision of traditional architecture and modern culture, where Qing Dynasty buildings play host to some of Chengdu’s best coffee shops, bars, galleries and boutiques. Rub shoulders with locals who love to roam these quirky lanes on their day off and tuck into some of the city’s traditional snacks, although you might want to watch out for some of the more, let’s say, ‘exotic’ local delicacies.
The last stop--Sichuan "Face-Changing" Opera Experience this captivating art form firsthand, along with acrobatics, comedy, and vibrant characters that define this regional opera. Enjoy a VIP experience that is distinctly Sichuanese, complete with the unique option to have your ears cleaned by a local master during the show.
